You need to offer them something that will benefit them in some way so much that they’re willing to give up their contact information for it. The next step takes the visitor from prospect to lead.

Your call to action should connect directly to a landing page that focuses on getting the prospect’s contact information. You’ll need to re-emphasize the benefits of whatever it is that you’re offering in exchange for their contact information. You’ll also need a form.
Keep the form as as short as possible. Every field that you add to the form decreases the number of responses you will get. Make the form clear and easy to understand. Any hesitation or confusion on your target’s part will decrease the number of leads you generate.

Ater your new lead has filled in your form you’ll need to give them a link to download the content you’ve promised them. You can do that on the thank-you page.
You can also make a next offer to them on the thank-you page that will further qualify them as good leads. This offer can be a case study, fact sheet or a video. Those types of content are great second stage offers.
